My music is up to its nuggets in samples, as I like blending styles and instruments to get a sound that wouldn't normally exist if played by a single group. I don't like to use obvious samples, and prefer to keep my sources obscure, but the important thing to me is the final mix. If the techno fanfare from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sounds rockin to me as a raw sample then I won't fuck about with it. I commonly find the samples making up a kind of rhythm section so I often play some of my own sounds into the mix to steer the track away from being just a barrage of loops.
I don't ever expect to sell any of my tracks as I see them as just a foray into music as art. When I'm done with this I'll get back to painting, or grafitti. Maybe take up taxidermy or something...
Vocals on King Kong Fillet Steak and Corner are begrudgingly provided by Angel Anne-Marie Harvey Milton. I've contorted her acapellas into the tracks with varying degrees of success. She tolerates me fiddling around with her vocals...
Woud be interested to hear what other peeps think of my shiiiiit.
Cheers!
