Born in the fall of 1985, in Tehran, Iran, this young producer lived through the devastating Iraq/Iran war and moved to Canada at an early age. Growing up under such surroundings and circumstances has made him a very vocally and energeticly talented producer. His beats will make you bop your head no matter what musical style you may be influenced by. The name, “VOKAB”, was given to him by a fellow emcee, who always said “..Vokab always uses big words in his raps.” and thus the name stuck. He has touched all aspects of music from freestyling, writing lyrics, to producing his own music, which makes him a dangerous and saught after contender in this game called Hip Hop. He’s been spitting raw, unconventional lyrics for at least 5 years now, and has produced hundreds of beats for artists around the world, not to mention some of the hottest talents in Canada. He creates music non-stop, 7 days a week (truly devoted to say the least..), making him a valuable asset to Landlokt Records.
His work has been compared to that of great producers as Havoc, Alchemist, DJ Premier, and Rza, but his originality is felt as his music is anything but “heard-before”. Raw, underground gritty, adrenaline-pumpin’, get-out-of-the-way, are mere words that can be used to describe his style, but the music must be heard to be truly appreciated. Vokab and a producer by the name of “Think”, created their own production company called “Full Effect Productions”, and the company now consists of Vokab, Think, P-Roc, and Durdy. Through F.E.P, Vokab acquired links to Anno Domini Records and has since become a top line producer for the organization. He is also a regular producer for Domino Click out of Van City, and is unrelentless in his pursuit of greater challenges. Music first!
