Gem - The Wizard I first got into Hip-Hop about 11 years ago, growing up in Southside Jamaica queens running the streets and learning from older kats that were already doing it, I grew up around artists like the lost boyz, and onyx, plus underground rappers such as P.I and other local legends, Hip-Hop has always been in my life, but it took a while for me to grasp my gift as a mc, I could consider my style rugged and real most Mcs always show off how nice they could rhyme, or how many people they battled, to me Hip-Hop is about making statements, statements that supposed to inspire those that came from nothing and showing them how they can become something, thats what I want to do with my music, so after living in NYC for 22 years I relocated to Tampa florida, wich is cool cause I needed to slow things down and hit the lab.
