Conscious Or Subconscious?

About Me

I have been making art my entire life. From making drawings from my imagination as a child, to exploring the subconscious as an adult, I have dedicated my life to art. Drawing from a wealth of influences, from comic books and horror movies to Vincent Van Gogh and Vermeer, I have absorbed it all, mixed it with my own emotion and style, and created a unique and imaginative vision which is the basis for all of my work. I explore the depths of the subconscious, drawing from vivid memories and vague, dreamlike visions. I have experimented in many mediums; drawing, photography, digital art, video, and sculpture, but prefer to express myself in the medium of oil painting. It is this avenue that best lends itself to this contemplative imagery. I maintain that it’s not as important that the viewer understands what the image means to me as it is important that the viewer finds their own understanding of what it means to them. It is this dedication to not only exploring my own conscious and subconscious, but delving into the realm of the Universal Subconscious, that drives my work. ************************************************************ ************************************************************ **************************************************
