About Me

To those that understand no explanation is necessary. To those that don't, none will suffice...There is something every woman wears around her neck on a thin chain of fear—an amulet of madness. For each of us, there exists somewhere a moment of insult so intense that she will reach up and rip the amulet off, even if the chain tears the flesh of her neck. --- Robin Morgan

My Interests

Reading and collecting books/magazines. Fanzines. Music. Collecting Barbies (and other vinyl fashion dolls). Cats. Collecting Marilyn Monroe memorabilia and I would say collecting Jayne Mansfield memorabila but there's precious little of it about. I am a big fan of all the old Hollywood stars though. Alternative culture. Weird stuff --- the kitsch, the strange and bizarre. Gender studies/feminism. Media studiesI've been doing fanzines for 10 years now on a variety of subjects and some of my past work is now online at http://www.prettybutschizofanzine.vze.comMy most recent fanzine was called PussyRock and it was all about female musicians. At the moment I'm working on a directory of fanzines/independent magazines. I've also written several songs that have appeared on albums by Ceramic Hobs.

I'd like to meet:

This profile is a combination of a personal profile and a profile for my zines/creative projects. I get a lot of messages from people wanting me to add them/listen to their music etc. and unfortunately I don't have time to deal with them all. If you're a band/writer/magazine/film-maker/maker of stuffed pandas or whatever then just do a friends request don't send me a message as well.I don't add everyone. It's nothing personal and it doesn't make me a bitch, but this is MY Space not YOUR Space. Therefore I also reserve the right to delete comments if I think you're spamming me. I am NOT looking for a boyfriend/girlfriend, romantic or sexual partner. AND I DON'T DO MSN OR CHAT.
