About Me

Hello. I'm a musician/songwriter based in Leeds and London, England.
There are a couple of acoustic tracks up on here:
"Come" - a song about drunken fumbles. if you've had one then you'll know. if you've not had one yet then don't worry, it's all good fun.
"The Leeds-Liverpool Cut" - a song about the canal that runs (actually it's pretty still but it does flow into the Aire) near me. Before train use established a unified national timekeeping the cuts were the motorways of their day - there's fine engineering over the whole of the UK planned by Victorian Geniuses and dug by craftsmen. i like to fish for pike in mine. sometimes I jog the fags out of me by it, sometimes I just like to sit by the water and watch.
"Worm" - an odd song about worms. Not viruses.
"Novak" - this is a demo version with a minipops junior drum-machine. However, if you've an inclination to wiki Kim Novak you'll maybe see what i mean. You've probably your own stars. As it should be.
Token Lyrical Thing
COME
Step into my room - small as it is
there's space enough here
Come - pull up a chair
Kick off your boots and let loose your hair
Stay, into the sun, soft safe and warm
As cool as your kiss
Say all that you want to, and nothing you don't
For no-one will tell
Call it what you want to, or what you choose to
Simple desire, a friend you can trust to
Lay down the lights and lift up your pulse
Remind us how once we used to make love
From the top of the hill, it's a very long way to the sea.
I also play for Monmon. At the moment I'm singing and bassing. Quite a trick but I can pull it off. I only ever wanted to play Bass for JAMC anyway, so it worked out O.K.
Monmon have been going for f**king years. I joined them quite recently (four years ago) - I like it. It's cool and focused on music not blagging it. Pretty much David Nolan's band. He plays guitar like no-one else...
