About Me

Robert Mullins, Jr. a.k.a. Moody Black, is an m.c./poet from Spartanburg, South Carolina. Moody Black has been a performing artist since the age of twelve. While averaging around seven to ten shows a month throughout the southeast and midwest, Moody Black has created a buzz that is echoed in the following achievements: Winner of several poetry slams and talent shows/ Member of the 2004 Upstate Slam Poetry Team/ Performed at several junior high and high schools, colleges, and universities/ Monthly host at the T.K. Gregg Recreation Center Poetry Night event- Every third Saturdays/ Wits End Poetry of Greenville, S.C. board member- Since 2004/ Featured on Turner South “My South” commercial- finished filming October 2005/ Poetry Slam Master for the 2006 & 2007 Upstate Slam Poetry Team Now, Moody Black is working with Dirty Mentalz.
