Whipped Cream

The Hottest Cream Tribute Band Anywhere!

About Me

Whipped Cream is an incendiary Cream tribute band, based in Los Angeles, authentically capturing the live energy and vitality Cream produced in the 1960s. The band consists of JT Curtis as Eric Clapton, Adam Kury as Jack Bruce, and Stephen Quadros as Ginger Baker.

Cream is one of the greatest bands of the psycadelic 60s. Cream was formed in London 1966 with Jack Bruce on bass & vocals, Ginger Baker on drums, and a young Eric Clapton on guitar & vocals. They released their first album FRESH CREAM containing a new mix of jazz and blues. Their second album DISREALI GEARS became a platinum hit containing one of the greatest songs of all time: "Sunshine of your Love." On WHEELS OF FIRE and GOODBYE Cream produced several other hits such as "White Room," "Crossroads," and "Badge." But they were known for much more than that. On stage, Cream would combine the blues with long jazz-like improvizations such as in the epic "Spoonful." Eric Clapton would pour his heart and soul into those solos with Bruce & Baker both soloing behind him. With four studio releases, Cream only survived for a little over two years, but the music they made in that amount of time has left a huge mark on rock 'n roll today laying the pathway for bands such as Led Zeppelin.
In the years that followed, the members of Cream continued to make great music, including Eric Clapton who enjoyed a sucessful solo career producing albums like the timeless LAYLA. But they were always best known for their work in Cream.
35 years later, Cream reunited for a few shows at the Royal Albert Hall in London & Madison's Square Garden in New York. The band was fantasic, but it was different. It was certainly not the same Cream from WHEELS OF FIRE.
It's a pity that Cream is not playing a show here in LA. So many fans would love to hear the music of the Cream played live. And even if Cream does play here, tickets can be quite pricey for this event with costs going into 4 digits. So where can one go to see the music of the Cream? Anywhere in Los Angeles, you can see Whipped Cream, a tribute band, the next best thing to the real deal.
Whipped Cream captures the true sound of the band back in the 60s. The band is able to take the songs to a new level as far as improvization goes. After all, it wouldn't be a true Cream tribute band if the band only played what was on record. These fine musicians have spent a good amount of time and effort learning all of Cream's material (this includes both studio releases and rare live bootlegs) tightening it up, and coming up with improvizational ideas just as the original band would. The band's setlist includes the hits: "White Room" "Sunshine of Your Love" "Crossroads" "I Feel Free" & "Badge," but also includes the epic jams in "Spoonful" "I'm So Glad" "Toad" and many others. Whipped Cream is a sure fire pleasure for anyone who loves Cream, Eric Clapton, or just great music in general.
JT Curtis, the young guitar virtuoso from 7th Sun , plays Eric Clapton. As a guitar player, JT is able to mimic Clapton’s mannerisms incorporating his own energy to the mix. As a singer, JT’s voice is surprisingly similar to Clapton's. Adam Kury ( Legs Diamon ) plays Jack Bruce and is a monster bass player and singer. He is able to wail out Bruce's parts as well as he did in 1968. Of course, Adam can mimic Bruce's bass style easily, but he also brings his own unique bass style to the table. Stephen Quadros ( Snow ) IS Ginger Baker! Stephen Quadros’ drum-solo in “Toad” is an entire show in itself. Stephen brings together all of his influences to Baker’s drumming epic to produce the most insane drums solo in Los Angeles.
