Calvin Lynch (AKA Smiley) born December 2nd in Birmingham UK. He has been singing and writing his own music and lyrics since his early teens and plays both the guitar and piano. Calvin’s first major release was a single, in 1994 as part of Mikey and Smiley. Their track released on Virgin Records reached number 70 in the UK singles chart and regularly featured on cable TV. From 1994-1996, Calvin had a very successful tour of the UK and Europe. Since going solo Calvin has performed at many clubs around the UK including the AKA Bar London, Arena Manchester, Divas Coventry Niche club Cheltenham, Red Bull promotion London. He has been touring Europe since 2003, working with Mousse T "I love the big stage and performing with a large live band in front of 5, 10, 20 thousand people". His performances have been such that he has attracted large interest from the established music industry. In September 2001, Calvin released the single I need your love garage re-mix by Jeremy Sylvester. The single received national radio exposure and was awarded single of the week by DJ Ezee (Kiss FM Radio, London). It also featured on warners UKs Pure Garage volume 5. From December 2001, Calvin has been writing and producing, R & B and Hip Hop and acoustic tracks, his latest release being Monotony (Peppermint -jam). In 2003 Calvin (as 2 Indigo) released sing and Shout on Peppermint Jam Records. It charted whilst on promo in The Buzz, Cool and Hype charts and is presently blowing up in the Miami, UK and South African club scene. Much of Calvin’s work has received excellent reviews by magazines such as Blues & Soul, Touch, DJ and Mix Mag. Seriously released on Hottismusic label based in California US, This track has received good radio play nationally and played regularly on Galaxy FM 102.2, by DJ Asha, 3 Style and was also play listed with BBC 1 Extra. Calvin is currently in the studio working on this his debut solo album. Hit dance Single 'Sing it Shout it' produced by Kiddo was released by Peppermint Jam based in Germany and London and sold 6,000 vinyl and was licensed on 14 compilation albums. calvin has toured Germany and Europe for the past 3 years with Mousse T, Colin,, Roachford.emma langford, and james kikande. Calvin has just finished writing four songs for an album project for one of Germanys upcoming Artist , named AKAY produced by VD3 for Universal/Peppermint-jam records.
