Founded by Brian Werner in 1998 for the purpose of rescue, rehabilitation, research and preservation of the genetic diversity of endangered tigers, Tiger Missing Link Foundation is a leader in the field of tiger conservation. Tiger Creek Wildlife Refuge, situated on a 15-acre refuge facility in the piney woods of East Texas, the refuge is home to more than 39 big cats including cougars, bobcats, leopards, African lions and tigers. Tiger Creek Wildlife Refuge is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation operating Tiger Creek Wildlife Refuge. For more information check out www.tigerlink.org and www.tigercreek.org .
Tiger Missing Link Foundation’s mission is to conserve genetic diversity of tigers while preserving tigers and educating people which provides sustainability for these endangered species.
To accomplish the mission, our objectives are fourfold.
1. To promote conservation of tigers as a species
2. To develop resources to rescue abused, neglected and abandoned tigers
3. To educate children, students and the public about big cat conservation issues
4. To promote genetic research that improves the odds of tiger survival for the future
Below is a map of the new home we're planning for our tigers, complete with open air pens with waterfalls, a swimming pool and a big yard where we can do lure training and let the big cats run. If you've never seen a working refuge up close, it's an amazing experience. Come see us next time you're in East Texas. We're just a few miles north of I-20 on Park Road 14. Watch for the signs after you pass the first Tyler exits coming either direction!

My Interests

These pens are where the 3 tigers in Nebraska are being held. To help prevent their euthanasia, you can contribute to the rescue and care of these beautiful animals by making a donation at www.tigerlink.org.

Thanks so much for your help!

Interns target training Sakima. Target training helps us position the cats for medical procedures, dental care and such so we don't have to get in the cage with them. Safer for them and for our interns.

The interns are shooting pictures for our annual calendar this week. Here, Bob, our spoiled rotten bobcat gives the guys a hard time about taking his picture, while Shiloh sticks his own nose into the process when Jenny backs up against his cage. Both bobcats are very tame, but will nip you if you give them an opportunity. The guys are always careful how they touch them.
