"I Sleep Less Last Night" (2004)The band has formed in 1995 by playing the typical sounds of Bristol's school between 1990 and 1996 proving a dark but also melodic spirit.The repertory alternated very deep atmospheric records, to rock live performances, fast enough to have reached, in some cases, the speed of Drum n' Bass.Actual pop and British post rock influences have recently developed the band's sound without ruining it's vocation to new experiments.Live and promotional activities have mainly taken place in the north of Italy.New experiences like collaborations, remixes, short films still in process, soundtracks for theatre derive from contacts with other artists during exhibitions. The increasing interest in the band's work demonstrated by web users on sites like www.tripogagia.com , www.infratunes.com, www.trip-hop.net.com , www.triphopcr.net ,www.triphop-music.com,has induced the creation of an official web site: www.u-topia.co.uk . The group, which maturing has been tasted with success in the national contest, has opened the "Ultra Violet Mekes me Sick" At the Indie Rock festival in Medesano; has played At Maffia with Karne Divina; has opened the "Feel Good Production" Live performance at Fillmore; has been selected for a place in "Tendenze" 's 2002 event compilation, through a selection of 80 others and has won the Italian National Competition "Sonica 2002", in Catania (Sicily) after a selection of 600 artists. As winner of "Sonica 2002" U-topia has performed at M.E.I. (meeting Italian Independent Labels) in Faenza and has opened the "Afterhours" live performance at the festival "Sottosuoni" in Cagliari (Sardinia).
