Allen Began Playing the guitar at the age of 11. Instantly knowing what he wanted for the rest of his life.Turned on at a very early age to the sounds of,Steve Vai, Joe Satriani,& Eric Johnson, he decided Instrumental guitar to be his passion. Setting out on a course that would lead him through years of ear training, And music theory. His unwaivering love for pure guitar rock was not shaken by the grunge, and hip hop movements of late, in fact he found a way to work his unique style into some R&B tracks that caught the attention of R&B mogul Teddy Reily. After a brief stint doing new talent development for reily, he set out building Flight Line Studios Norfolk Va., and his independent record label Evil Static Records. With artists like local funk bass great Micah Kaplan, and long time percussion player Wil Thomas. he made his first real instrumental album debut with 2003's "Absoltion" and followed that up 2 years later with 2005's "Miles from Europa".Production for Allen’s 3rd full studio release has just begun in May, of 07. Special Relativity, as it is tentatively being called, will be a bit more aggressive than past instrumental albums from Baltzer. More of the metal, and hard rock aspects will be apparent; the jazzy bluesy stuff will still be there, but along with some heavier rock stuff yet unheard from Allen. The album is slated for production and recording until late July and release along with Allen’s Indie label Evil Static Records, new tracks “Butcher bird†and “Special Relativity†will be released online on may 21, 2007 and will be avail for download.
