About Me

Queen Anne's Lace is a small, a cappella women's ensemble specializing in a variety of musical genres. Queen Anne's Lace has entertained audiences with Renaissance Madrigal music and folk songs, religious pieces & a few Christmas carols thrown in for variety. The members of QAL hold audiences captive with impromptu harmonies, improvisational banter, and a delightful stage presence.
Formed in February 1997, and directed by Heather Ethridge, Queen Anne's Lace has continued to build their reputation as group of talented musical entertainers. This ensemble is in high demand at Renaissance Festivals around the country including their home faire Scarborough (Waxahachie, TX), and the Texas Renaissance Festiva l (Houston, TX).
The members of Queen Anne's Lace participate in a variety of other events and festivals and are frequently invited to perform at special occasions. Their diverse repertoire, as well as their talent for original compositions and arrangements, has delighted audiences with everything from the bawdy humor of the Renaissance period to the melodic tones of a modern wedding ballad.
