The music of the german Heavenly voices project "Schattenkinder" combines influences between folk, dark-wave, gothic and world music.
Schattenkinder is a music of many facets. The broad spectrum of stylistic means, which Schattenkinder employ for years by now, is based on the extraordinary line-up: the perfection of classical music, a result of years of experience in an orchestra, meets excessive nights in the Metal underground. Atmospheric vocals meet electronic rhythms from the digital realm.
Deeply rooted in Dark Wave and Heavenly Voices Schattenkinder were launched 2001 by Reiner as a studio project. Vocalist Madeleine quickly joined as a second permanent member of the project and the duet made its first steps. Many line-up changes followed and the duet grew into a quintet. Since early 2003 Sven, Katja and Katharina have joined Schattenkinder. Inspired by new creativity the studio project progresses and exceeds its boundaries. A complete five-piece band arises and becomes what Schattenkinder are today.
In 2004 Schattenkinder released their first LP CD "Vision of Nightfall" at the yet no more existing Label "Dark Wings" The CD gained attention from many german and international lovers of ethereal music. Schattenkinder´s debut album still can be obtained at all common sources for buying music, e.g. amzon, iTunes music store, musicload and many others.
Inspired by these achievements the members of Schattenkinder are now preparing their second CD, which probably could will be accomplished in late 2006 or early 2007.
