The Electro-formation LEIDENSWEG was founded in January/February 2000 by Frank Roessel and Daniel Guenther. We decided to make music again after breaking up the local band Missing Link in 1997/98. In that formation we mainly covered rock/pop songs together with three other musicians. There are only a few records from this era and no other publications! (
At the end of 1999 we both met together for a revival-session and enjoyed making music again. A short time later the first ideas for our own songs appeared (the very first: Search For The Sun).
The main part of our lyrics is created by the quill of Mario Schubert by now, whose ideas never seem to run out and who thus became the third man of LEIDENSWEG.
On the other hand the music is composed and arranged mainly by Daniel.
Up to date we have no professional releases (with labels) nevertheless we have tried to ban our songs on CD by ourselves. The result of our efforts can be seen and ordered on our website www.der-leidensweg.de under "discography".
Our live acts focused mainly on the region of Saxony. Furthermore the participation in some band contests (Ad lunam, Sonic Seducer and others) has helped to introduce our music to a more wide-ranged public. Leidensweg supported so far bands like Sara Noxx, Das Ich, Trümmerwelten, Kontrast, Expretus, Schattenkinder...
