About Me

My name is Kia--yes, like the car but better built. If you are a friend you can call me Kiki. I'm married to Brian and the proud Mommy to Bailey, the best little boy in the world.

I am a proud hapa, an Amer-Asian, the Asian being Korean. Yes, I like kimchee...no, I don't speak Korean. Those of you with Kim Jung Il jokes I'm from SOUTH Korea, thank you. I have acquaintances from all walks of life but only a handful of real friends...you know who you are.

Quick FYI on me: I'm an Anime ADDICT! * I'm a DURANIE for life * Call me a Fruit Fly because I'm too cute to be a Fag Hag* I actually like hospital/cafeteria food * I can't hum because it gives me a headache * I still daydream and do so quite frequently * I like movies that make me cry * and, finally, I'm going to be famous one day although I can't guarantee that it won't be a scandal.

I am on this site to keep in touch with old friends and make new ones. One warning: If you are horny and looking to hook up I suggest you don't IM or e-mail me because if you do I will make it a goal to bring you down a few notches and even try to make you cry...I may not have seen your d**k but I still have jokes. Don't think domestic life has made me soft because I still can be quite mean -- do not mistake my civility for kindness. So please, no haters, critics, judges or intolerant a$$holes.

My Interests

Bailey! I love taking care of my darling son first and foremost and then everything and anything that won't kill me! I'm a sponge and will try anything once (or at least give it some good thought) before I veto it.These days I'm trying to teach my son French, learn more Japanese (sorry Mom-- I know I should be studying Korean), and prepare more exotic menus. I've also found myself obsessed here lately with Richie Nickel.

I'd like to meet:

No, the question is WHO would I give the pleasure of meeting ME? The list is short...if you've made the cut then you must be top notch.

Music:

Varied and ecclectic. Some examples: Duran Duran (& most 80's music), The Bravery, Muse, KoRn, Celldweller, Gym Class Heroes, Lost Prophets, AFI, The Killers, Lola Ray, Head Automatica, Justin Timberlake, hard House and yes, I like Britney Spears. Make sure to check out my brother-in-law Geoff "The Lip" Danielik. You can find him in my Top Friends.

Movies:

Several however I think everyone should see "Hedwig & the Angry Inch". It's a very cerebral movie and if you can open your mind to look beyond the drag queen you'll learn a valuable lesson about love. Any hardcore porn comes in a close second!

Television:

Most of my repertoire has been limited to whatever is on Playhouse Disney and the like thanks to my darling son (Damn those Teletubbies!) But on those rare occasions that I do get control of the TV I try to catch the CSIs, Law & Order SVU, ER, Boston Legal, and various sitcoms. I also like watching shows that try to teach me something so I like Supernanny, Mythbusters, and most cooking shows on the Food Network. I will always stay up to watch late night cartoons and animé on Adult Swim, especially Inuyasha, Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist, Death Note and Blood+.

Books:

Anything by Paulo Coelho, particularly "The Alchemist" and "Veronika Decides to Die"; "Waiting" by Ha Jin; "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" by Mitch Albom; "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand and, of course, "The Da Vinci Code" and "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown. Also all of the books in the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling.

Heroes:

Me, Myself and I. I am my own heroine. I may not have done anything people may consider great or heroic but I feel one should always revere oneself first before turning to others for example.

I saw my first casualty last night.

I have a rule that I follow diligently. If there is an accident by the side of the road I purposely avert my eyes. I do NOT want to see anything gory. I don't look at gory websites (like ogrish.com or...
