The Kinzie House

The Kinzie House played their first show in late summer of 2006. The group’s core consists of Jason Munchoff (laptop, keys, pedals) and Jesslyn Jalayerian (vocals). In October of 2006 they recorded two songs, Duluth and Sea Turtles for their “6 A.M." Demo, to get a sample of their music out. The vocals and hardware keyboards for the demo were recorded and mixed by their friend Brett Barton (Hummingbiird). Both songs begin with warm drones of melancholic electronica that give way to faster dance beats and rhythms, where the vocals are the focus. Other contributors to The Kinzie House live show include Nick Voss on acoustic guitar and Maura Kwilosz on vocals, who is also featured on Sea Turtles. These two people have been their friends for years.
