Konrad

THE GREATEST LABEL IN THE UNIVERSE

About Me

Navigating effortlessly through a dizzying array of styles, Konrad is an Amerikan song constructionist who puzzles together his unique brand of vocal poetics with a sorted sonic DNA that exhibits strains of indie, electro, folk, IDM and hip-hop. In the past he’s recorded as an 8-bit obsessed electronic musician known a Robotusa, an emo indie rocker known as eggspout, and a folksy singer/songwriter called Nigel Jeffrey who cut an album called "Struggle in the Hive" with Pat Stolley of daytrotter.com fame. Releasing dozens of underground mix tape albums over the past decade, Konrad started his own label, Radical Turf Records in 2004 under the premise of releasing compilation albums from innovative underground artists. Three US/UK/EURO "various artists" joints later, Konrad's first "official" solo album is ready to drop in May 2008 on Radical Turf. A new Konrad single can be heard on the current Magnet Magazine New Music Sampler volume 48 (issue NO. 78).
