Celebrate now, while there's flesh on our bones

About Me

Woo, and indeed Yay! I'm on this...
and this...
Music was the main driving force for most of my life, until I managed to get some stuff published and suddenly lost interest!
In 2000 I had three tracks on a U.S. compilation called 'Diskatopia's Intimate Gathering' and had BBC Radio1 airplay on three separate occasions. Then, for some strange reason, as soon as I heard my stuff on the radio I thought, "Oh, is that it then?", flogged all the studio gear I'd built up over the years and never wrote another tune, until now!
I have just started tinkering with music again, though even with the convenience of new technology I am still a right little madam when it comes to getting things just so, and with my other (art) projects and a full-time job, I hardly get any time for proper audio rompings.
If your ears like what's on this page then click the graphic below to hear some of my older 12bit stuff. You might find a couple of things you've never heard before...
Here's my recent experimental documentary based on Coxwold, home of famous non-linear novelist Laurence Sterne, where I spent three weeks as artist-in-residence.
Wings Of Time
Earlier on, I got birds to make music for me in a multimedia project called 'wingbeats' (clip below) where the flightpaths of birds were translated into music using software I developed myself. This was nominated for Best of Welsh Design at Cardiff Design Festival 2006, was shown on a gigantic screen in Manchester, the British Film Institute, Modulate in Birmingham, back to Manchester for Springwatch and the Urban Screens Conference, the Greenpeace dome at Glastonbury, Burning Man Festival in Nevada, the Prix Ars Electronica in Austria, and the Optronica touring programme in Rome, Eindhoven and Bucharest!
