Still trying to decide what I want to be when I grow up. Music is important to me and helps keep me sane. I'm something of a fanatic about harmonica "harp" music and have been playing harp a long time. I also play electric bass and upright bass. Played in bands in my younger days, now I just sit in with friends from time to time. I like baseball and softball. I write and I am a photographer. I grew up a country boy and there's still a lot of that in me. I spent my entire adult life as a newspaperman, but I've ended that part of my life. I hope to work on my songwriting and keep working on my harp playing. Then, of course, there is upright bass and acoustic guitar . . .Hey, I got work to do. My hope is to set aside two hours a day for writing, whether songs or fiction, or whatever. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.Update: Now 10 months into retirement, I'm playing harp with a guitarist/vocalist, doing our thing on weekends, and I have a new upright bass that I am working with, playing with several different people as time permits. My harp playing is improving and my bass playing is better now that I have a quality instrument. Life is good.
