We play all home-made instruments built by Ken Jacobson.
These instruments are made from mostly "found objects" (pitchfork, shovels, crutch, boat paddles/oars, etc...), most of which include at least one item from the kitchen. These instruments lend themselves nicely to Secret Chief-esque music (Middle Eastern, Surf, Death Metal, Etc...) -
So the joke was born...
To further the joke, our live set (and recording - soon to come) is called
"Book of Recipes".
We play original music, but it (as of now) is mostly spoofing (tribute?) the Chief's music.
(and if you ask nice, we even do a couple SC3 covers...)
