About Me

Mogg Swamp is a mystical place where the night presents a cricket's symphony, and by the light of day, there are silent flashes of movement behind every branch and blade of grass. There are tales of beasts and unseen things that leave no trace behind them as they move silently through the mossy, green waters. You think you know the swamp? Guess again, my Friend. Be watchful for the King of the swamp himself, the one they call 'Mogg'. I've never seen him with my own eyes, but I hear tell that he stands nearly ten-feet tall, with long straggly hair, and...shh! What was that? It's the Magic of Mogg Swamp! But enough of this. you'll have to hear the rest for yourself when you come and visit us... at Flutterby Arts Puppet Productions. My name is Den Hart I produce puppet shows that are based around creatures from fabled Mogg Swamp. We provide professional family-oriented performances for public and private events, church events, trade shows, corporate events, and more!

So come visit Mogg Swamp - you won't even get your shoes muddy.

Check out "FlutterbyCaps.com" - Pam, my wife, is a 5-year breast cancer survivor and better looking and far more sensible than me. Buy a chemo patient a knit cap from her, and she'll send a donation to the American Cancer Society.

My Interests

Puppets and puppeteering, performing, design, acrylic painting, antique hunting, public speaking, teaching art and theater arts.

Also, My back yard is kind of like a painting - landscaping a garden really is an art and helps bring down the blood pressure.

I'd like to meet:

Other artists and puppeteers. People who live the arts, but aren't the stereotypical art school graduate freaks. I'm way past all that since 1974.**NOTE** If you submit an ADD FRIEND, keep in mind that you will be DENIED if your profile: 1) contains profanity or hateful material 2) contains sexual or suggestive material 3) contains material or images that mock Christianity 4) is for a music group or individual artist who have no interest in a reciprocal networking relationship.

Music:

Asleep at the Wheel, Beatles, Beethoven, Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, Buddy Holly, Clapton, Danny and the Juniors, The Diamonds, Harry Nilsson, Patsy Cline, Roy Orbison, Toby Keith, early Elton John/Bernie Taupin. Andrew Lloyd Weber's Phanton of the Opera.

Check out Billy D.'s place...that's well worth listening to.

Movies:

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest (having been a volunteer at a sanitarium, I could relate). On Golden Pond. The original Wizard of Oz. Deliverance (Disturbing film, however Jon Voight and Ned Beatty were absolutely outstanding). The Never Ending Story, Back to the Future, 2001: A Space Odyssey. Wanted to sleep through "Pirates of the Carribean 2"...3 hours???

Television:

Pretty much a pitiful waste of time, although 'Lost' keeps me intrigued. Bravo for them. The rest is inane, predictable, and if not vulgar, it's just boring to the core.

Books:

This Perfect Day - Ira Levin. The Chronicles of Narnia (because I'm "getting balmier and balmier!"). The Exorcist - William Peter Blatty. I own a 1st edition signed by Mr. Blatty if anyone wants to buy it.

Heroes:

The Amish people - for their powerful testimony in their quiet expression of the love of Jesus Christ.
