2007: As well as writing & performing my poetry, I am recording a spoken word CD with composer 'Oli Widdaker', & I organise EVENTS to promote unity within the community through a combination of image, music, text & technology such as the internet for web casts. I call these events CATALYST events. They happen when they happen & come together in a special alchemical cosmic manner that always surprises me.

2006: CATALYST~9: London born artist & poet ‘Cat Catalyst’ has invited fellow creatives to choose a poem from her myspace blog & come up with a unique artistic interpretation in their own medium.
The idea is that the poems then take on a new life either as a piece of fine art, a short film, piece of sculpture, an animation, a musical composition or a performance piece etc.
This acts as a way of creatively sharing deep & meaningful truths, in an attempt at creating a sense empathy & connection in the local artistic community.
The evening kicks off with the exhibition private view at 7pm, followed by local poets, acoustic music & live bands, all of whom have chosen a particular Cat Catalyst poem to celebrate.

2005: CATALYST~8: is a collaborative mix media project based upon poems by London writer and visual artist Cat Miranda. Cat's poetry explores spiritual and humanist concepts, embracing emotion and looking for a deeper meaning.
The ideas behind Catalyst are the search for connection with spirituality and the natural world within the confines of a modern, technological lifestyle - in Cat's words: 'looking at the ordinary in an unusual way.'
The dance excerpt is called 'Recognise', and is inspired by both the metropolis and architecture of modern day London and the Australian desert landscape.
Choreographer Briar Adams creates the movement, composer Danbob Clarke contributes electronic beats, with vocals by Shannon McNab, & Funlola Olufunwa, guitar by Msimisi Dlamini, with lyrics by director Cat Miranda.
All fine-art, sculpture, photography, illustrations, choreography, beats & vocals are by local artists & are based upon a selection of Cat's poems designed to bring the community together via art, mixed media & multi-media.
A special opening night & private view of CATALYST: an exhibition of photography, fine art, sculpture, & illustration, with purposely composed music, vocals, & contemporary dance, based upon poems by Cat Miranda, aka 'Cat_Catalyst'.
