Kids are great-but exhausting!

About Me

I'm 30 years old and happily married to a wonderful man. We have an adorable 3 year old daughter, and a 5 month old son. We also have 2 cats and 1 very sweet, but very stupid dog. I work as a general/vocal music teacher at a public elementary school in Rochester, NY. My main social interactions are with the Society for Creative Anachronism, a medieval re-creation group and Sigma Alpha Iota, a women's music fraternity.
You Are 54% Pure
You're not so innocent... in fact, you're quite unpure.

My Interests

Music (duh, it's my profession!), especially singing, Sigma Alpha Iota, and many, many things in the SCA including, but not limited to: tablet/card weaving, making garb, cooking, archery, glass bead making, heavy weapons combat, brewing, scribal arts, and service.

I'd like to meet:

Old friends from high school and college, fellow SAI sisters, and SCAdians with similar interests.

Music:

I'm a classically trained musician, so I love all the great composers. I also love Broadway show tunes, classic rock from the 60's and 70's, and 1940's era swing and jazz.

Movies:

I have very eclectic taste in movies. I enjoy almost all genres. "Dogma" is probably one of my favorites because it reminds me not to take life too seriously.

Television:

NCIS rules!!!! Ducky, Abby, and Gibbs are totally awesome characters. That being said, CSI, The Unit, House, Criminal Minds, Vegas, ER, and Numb3rs are all excellent shows that I catch when I can. WWE is fun to watch from time to time, too.

Books:

All right. I admit it. I have a problem. My name is Lilith, and I'm a biblioholic. I have WAY too many books in my house. My husband has the same problem. Favorite genres include sci-fi and fantasy, but I am also a huge fan of detective/mystery stories, as well. Some of my favorite authors are: Anne McCaffrey, Mercedes Lackey, Elizabeth Moon, David Weber, Faye Kellerman, Jeffrey Deaver, and Dan Brown. Lee Child's Jack Reacher novels are a new favorite of mine.

Heroes:

Dr. Tim Lautzenheiser, who reminded me that you can care about someone you just met.Brian Steeves, my high school music director, who was always there with encouragement and support. I miss him terribly-he was a great man who passed away too soon.
