Ricardo hails from Panama. A land where the beat of the drum is as natural as breathing. At the age of seven he and his family moved to Cincinnati Ohio,and that was when he realized that he had a gift for music. He taught him self to play bongos, when ask to be part of a church function. Later he moved on to congas, and other percussion instruments.
His influences,where MONGO SANTA MARIE,-SANTANA,and WES MONTGOMERY.As time went on Ricardo formed his own band"SOLID STATE which won several talent showcases establishing themselves as the "best band in the city." Well! all of that was great" But now it was time to move to the next level. Little did Ricardo know that by moving to Los Angeles, GOD would have a plan to change his life for ever.
Not just from a music level but a spiritual level. "AND I THANK HIM FOR THAT. After a short time i started playing with NORMAN CONNORS, which led to WAYNE HENDERSON and THE CRUSADERS-A TASTE OF HONEY-THE ISLEY BROTHER'S-DOC POWELL, and BARRY WHITE, just to mention a few.
Impressive as a performer and equally gifted in the recording studio, Ricardo is determined-to be among the best.
