About Me

Who am I? Well I’m the son of the late great Freddie Gorman. My dad co-wrote songs for The Beatles, The Carpenters, Marvin Gaye, The Marvellettes, The Supremes, Diana Ross and others. He was part of the original Holland/Dozier/Gorman writing team. He also sang on numerous songs for Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Jimmy Ruffin, Edwin Starr and others. In other words, when you hear songs like; “War”, “Yester Me, Yester You, Yesterday”, “For Once in My Life, “What Becomes of a Broken Hearted”, and many other songs from Motown, you heard his voice. He was also a longtime member of Motown’s “The Originals”. Marvin Gaye wrote some of there biggest sellers. “Baby I’m for Real, “The Bells” and “We Can Make It”. So I guess you see where my musical ear comes from. I’ve been blessed to be around music all of my life. So with all of that background, I’ve used those skills in working with such acts like Christina Aguilera, Mya, Boyz II Men, En Vogue, Troop, Shanice Wilson and Darius McCrary on tv show Family Matters, the late great John Coltrane’s wife Alice Coltrane, Rome, The Party and others…Currently working on a powerful Gospel project entitled “For God’s Glory”.So stay tuned!!!
