Meet Your Cape Fear Roller Girls!
Scooters skating rink is home to the Cape Fear Roller Girls - Wilmington's only flat track derby league. We are always looking for new members and would love for anyone interested to come to one of our Tuesday practices from 8:30 to 10:30 or Sunday practices that run from 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Thursday nights are scrimmages for our more experienced ladies.
Be sure to check out our offical website!

Right now we are recruiting skaters 18 and up in the Wilmington area. Not a girl? Not a problem! We also need a few refs, sponsors and a slew of volunteers. Check our website for upcoming bouts! Tickets are always available from your local derby girl and at Gravity Records. Worried that your skating skills aren't quite up to roller girl standards? Not a problem. If you have the heart, we'll teach you how to skate like a derby girl!
A little about the rules...
The teams have 10 players, with five on the track for each jam or play period. The Jammer, or sprint skater, scores points by lapping the other team's players, which is where all that body contact comes in. No competitor will let the Jammer pass without a fight. Meantime, her teammates do all they can to help. Play gets plenty aggressive.
