Darkest of the Hillside Thickets

The universe's premiere H.P Lovecraft tribute band

About Me

Chilliwack gets pretty dark at night. The rural town 90 minutes east of Vancouver, BC may not seem like a hotbed of musical activity (save for the 70's band that borrowed the name), but something brews and broils under its surface when the sun goes down. The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets have been taunting the town since 1992 with their tongue-in-cheek musical homage to H.P. Lovecraft. The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets have created their own melodic blend of energetic punk rock. while wearing graphic costumes that help bring their good-natured dark songs to life. Call it geek-rock, nerd-core or just plain powerpop - their H.P. Lovecraft inspired tunes are guaranteed to bring even the heaviest sci-fi geeks out of the basement and onto the dance floor. These nerds are having the sweetest revenge of all.
