Pedro Pereira a.k.a. P.JayP.Jay born in Lisbon, Portugal, started Djing 6 years ago playing in underground private parties.
From Deep House to Garage these where his favourite music styles back in those days.
Has years went by, his technic and styles changed to more clubby style and in 2003 he was declared winner of Heineken Found@Thirst where he was chosen from one hundred and something djs by Paul Oakenfold and Danielle Davolli.Since then he has played with the most established National and International Djs such as Paul Oakenfold, Danielle Davoli, Timo Maas, Pete Tong, Ferry Corsten, Miss Motif, Sander Kleinenberg, Roger Sanchez, Herbert, Dj Castro, Dj Popas, Dj Quiz, Del Costa, Model 9000, X-Craft among several others.He as spinned in Bars and Clubs such as O2, Fluid, Bar do Rio, OpArt, Queens, Cenoura do Rio, in the South at Club Locomia and in several summer festivals that happen every year around the country.After this flow of events, he decided to join efforts with two of his mates Dj Castro and Hugo Amaro to create their own club nights called Link where they invited National Djs such as John-e, Bart Cruz, Jorge Gomes a.k.a. Dj Popas, and International, Andrei Osyka from L.A., Gwill Morris a.k.a. Main Element and Johnny Orange (Plastic Fantastic) both from U.K.His big dance music influences are Sasha, James Holden, Leama & Moor, Matthew Dekay, Kasey Taylor, Echomen, Luke Chable, Sander Kleinenberg, Ticon, Son Kite, Kult Of Krameria among many others.
Music production his is most recent goal, which he started to share with his friend Dj Castro and with whom he's into some music projects.
After finishing his Audio Post Producer studies a year ago he left Lisbon to be based in London, where he engaged on the next stage of his music career, the BA in Recording Arts that he so much persues.
His first Club gig in the U.K. was at the Egg Club in London and he also played in some Pubs in Brighton with some friends.
Currently his main music style is Progressive House, providing strong rhythm and groove as well as some melodic traveling landscapes that make every dancefloor jump.
His well known good spirit and joy in the dj booth are his trademark and he does it with class.
P.Jay also established his Uk promoter company named Pure Tone Entertainment.
Together with two other mates he started an electronic and acoustic night in some London venues with the name of MashedUK, where people can find a relaxed and pleasent ambient listening to live bands, Djs and Visual Fx by some Vjs as well.
