Mile End Records (www.mileendrecords.com), a new label dedicated to Montreal music and its worldwide appreciation, is pleased to announce its arrival this fall with the release of two CDs and one 12" EP spanning live soul and house music. The brainchild of MIXART Studios' Kirk Coleman and Bombay Records founder Patrick Dream, Mile-End Records draws on a growing collective of top musicians, producers and DJs, with a mission of bringing this city's sounds home to music lovers around the world.

"This label represents a fresh fusion of live, soulful music and visceral late night house that is quickly becoming one of the signatures of the Montreal sound".
These two debut releases reflect the label's wide scope and appeal, drawing together the funk, R&B, World and House music roots of today's pop, dance and electro with a unique soul that this city's scene has come to define. The label's first release "Everybody" from Sultan of Soul Shane Philips pays respectful tribute to early era icons like Marvin Gaye, Al Green and Sam & Dave, with a fresh vibe and sensibility that Shane fans across Canada have come to know and love. Join Shane and Mile End for a pre-launch show at Jello Bar October 8th. On its heels comes Mile End's second CD release " Chez Nous: Montreal House Vol. 1 delivering a rich roster of local and internationally produced tracks that span tempos, categories and influences from established artists such as Fred Everything, Barbara Brown, Miguel Graça, and Trentemoller, to local producers such as KidFreq, Marco and Nicola Torriero. Mile End is also pleased to be teaming up with red hot house music producer Angel Moraes and Chicago House legend Roy Davis Jr. for their 1st 12 " EP titled "Good Life".
