Dominique Thibault, residente en Montreal, empezó su carrera como DJ en 1998 y en tan solo tres años lanzó su primer CD de mezclas e hizo sus primeras apariciones internacionales en Londres, París y Luxemburgo, fusionando de forma única el house más ecléctico y el lado más funky del techno, su estilo sofisticado y su refinada selección de temas, así como sus concisas habilidades mezcladoras conforman la firma sonora de MightyKat. Ha compartido sus fiestas con colegas como Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Luciano, Swayzak, Akufen, Jeff Samuel, Zip, Sammy Dee, Junction SM, Troy Pierce, Magda, Derrick L. Carter, Jason Hodges, Hector Moralez, Johnny Fiasco, Phil Weeks, Luke Solomon, East Coast Boogiemen & Herbert. Dominique Thibault es, en definitiva, una de las djs canadienses más consolidadas en la escena de su país y en muchos otros países como Mexico o Italia, donde ha tenido sonadas residencias. Dominique Thibault, a resident of Montreal, began djing in 1998 and within three years she released her first mix cd and made her first international appearances in London, Paris and Luxemburg. Previously labelled as one to watch in Montreal’s continuously growing electronic music and club scene, she has successfully made a solid name for herself as she tears up dance floors and illuminates the hearts of her fans. Uniquely bridging eclectic house and the funkier side of techno, her sophisticated style and refined track selection, as well as her precise mixing skills result in a signature MightyKat sound. Her love for the dance floor vibe drives her musical intuition whether in a large club or at a small and friendly loft party. MightyKat’s CD titled "Confidence", released in 2001 on Canadian record label Haute Couture/Hautec, has earned an abundance of praise at home and internationally. Containing tracks by label mates Akufen, Deadbeat and DJChampion, her impressive mix is a stellar example of deep, minimal funkiness. Capable, driven and filled with energy, Dominique has earned much respect as a loft party organizer and event coordinator.After three years of co-founding and running the wildly successful night "Dizzy", at Salon Daomé, and holding a residency at Circus Afterhours, in Montreal, she has refocuesed to concentrate on the international scene. Now part of the Spanish based agency, Dskonnect, run out of Valencia, she is regularly playing in Europe. She held a monthly residency at Rome’s club “Hulala” in Italy in 2005-2006 and also playing regulary at the “Santanera” in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.She has shared the bill at her own events with the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Luciano, Swayzak, Akufen, Jeff Samuel, Zip, Sammy Dee, Junction SM, Jason Hodges, Hector Moralez and local star Fred Everything. In addition, she has participated at Montreal’s International Jazz Festival 2002 & 2006, Gala Des Oliviers 2005-2007, FCMM’s Media Lounge, BBCM’s Red Party and has also played alongside Troy Pierce, Magda, Derrick L. Carter, Johnny Fiasco, Phil Weeks, Luke Solomon, East Coast Boogiemen, Doc Martin, Herbert & Tiga.She continues to DJ regularly within Canada, in Europe and Mexico. She is leaving her mark on the international scene with her solid performances at prestigious clubs like Batofar and Nouveau Casino in Paris as well as Weetamix in Geneva, MetroDance club and The mill in Spain and SternRadio in Berlin. Mk’s perseverance, determination and a true passion for the music assure her success and recognition.
