Epidemia, banda quiteña de death metal, aparece entre los guitarristas Christian Naranjo y Jean Paúl Sanafria , amigos del barrio y fanáticos del death metal. La idea de formar una banda tomó fuerza en Mayo del 2003, cuando en el conservatorio conocen a Daniel Villarreal (baterista); dos semanas después invitan a formar parte del grupo a Edison Avellaneda(bajo). La banda casi conformada emprende la búsqueda de una voz gutural y potente; tras varias audiciones integran finalmente en Septiembre del 2003 a Adrián Salazar como vocalista. Entre tanto se planteaban distintos nombres para la banda, quedando consolidada con el nombre de EPIDEMIA. Alex Pozo, amigo de la banda les diseñó el logo.Por diversas razones su bajista deja la banda, buscan un reemplazo que complete la agresividad , brutalidad y fuerza que tiene su estilo, es así que ingresa Daniel Murillo al bajo a finales del 2005.Conciertos:
En los festivales más grandes e importantes de la capital, además han visitado ciudades como: Guayaquil, Cuenca, Pasaje, Ibarra, Riobamba.En Agosto del 2007 comparten escenario con la banda mas grande del death metal a nivel mundial CANNIBAL CORPSEDiscografia:

Epidemia, an Ecuadorian death metal band created in Quito, started with the guitarrist Christian Naranjo and Jean Paul Sanafria, death metal fans and friends since childhood, The idea to create the band appeared in May 2003 when the members met Daniel Villarreal(Drums), two weeks later they invited Edison Avellaneda (bass) to join the band. Then the band began the search for a powerful voice, after a long way and a lot of auditions they choose Adrian Salazar in September 2003 as the vocalist. With the band established they decided to name the band as EPIDEMIA. Alex Pozo a band's friend designed the logo. Because of multiple reasons the bassist left the band, so Daniel Murillo (bass) joined in 2005 helping the seek of a powerful replacement..Concerts :
