THE ANCIENT TIMES...
Ente has finished their first 10 years in 2001 harvesting the results of great efforts with a lot of difficulties, pain and serious work. With proud to be part of south American Death metal underground, the bandmates Igor Icaza, Nelson Rodriguez, David Arciniegas, Neil Pacheco and Juan Carlos Arévalo enter the new millenium with the certainty that is writing one history of national and international respect and professionalism. Formed in 1991 under the name of OBERTURA, Latacunga born raised Ente helped found, manipulate and transcend the very boundaries of Ecuadorian death metal beginning with 12 songs on the clasic debut, MORTAJA SOCIAL raising the eyebrows of inquisitive Ecuadorian metalheads, and won the price as BEST THRASH-DEATH BAND in Ecuador in 1994.
The construction of this status has started in 1991, when the trio conformed by Igor Icaza, Nelson Rodriguez and Fabian Paocarina used to live in Quito and Latacunga other musicians participate in this cycle, like bass player Gabriel Tapia and Pablo Jaramillo. The start in metal came as inheritance from their mutual friends, that already like bands such as Black Sabbath, Jimmy Hendrix, Metallica, Exodus and Venom. By the steady listening to their records the three Ente's musicians enjoyed the sound and, of course, the cover drawings. Like all metalhead, their youth was marked buying records ot their favourite groups.
Without money to buy equipments, the Ente worked at the beginning with simple instruments like accustic guitars and very poor drums for their composition. The metal underground raised up at a euphoric period in Ecuador and 1 or 2 fanzines started to cross the country. Ente has entered the scene keeping contact with other Ecuadorians bands and fanzines. The idea was grow up in the underground and show the band's concepts all over the world: play the real Death metal. Soon, the style of Ente was melded, with the velocity, darkest lyrics and the power of what was named death metal together. By learning everything themselves, Igor, Nelson and Fabian did the first appearence LP "MORTAJA SOCIAL" (1994) The next 3 years, a second work with other line up, with Gabriel Tapia on the bass and vocals, Igor on Drums and Nelson on lead guitars "ECUADOR SUBTERRANEO" (1997) - was recorded. Since then, the requests from the underground didn't stopped crowining Ente as the new monarch of Ecuadorian Death Metal.
THE NEW MILLENIUM...
Since then, Ente quickly gained the status of a cult band in Ecuador as a result of the high velocity of the compositions and for the impressive live performance and their cruelty lyrics. In 2003 the first full lenght, "ENTE", was released. The CD received high notes in the specialized press in U.S.A and Europe. To close the year, more 12 gigs were done in all Ecuador with Cenotaph (Mexico), Estigma y Ataque Frontal (Perú), Agony (Colombia), Akerrak, Liturgia (Colombia), Neurosis (Colombia), Purulent (RIP) (Colombia), Misty fate (Colombia), Fleshless ( Republica Checa), Kreator (Germany).
ENTE´S ARMY REJOINED...
After the great success of 2003's ENTE and some personnel projects (longtime bassist and lead vocal Gabriel Tapia fled the band in 2003 to carry on his commitments with his personal Education project, Juan Carlos Arévalo filled in for the band during their ENTE National tour gigs that year David Arciniegas and Neil Pacheco, who played on Ente's, rejoined the band as a fulltime members.), Ente has returned to the Death Metal frontlines with the pungently eloquent experiment EP -PSEUDO CADAVER BEINGS (2.004) the fifth record of their storied career, each track basks in its own claustrophobic abrasiveness and violent subject matter.
From the onset of the fiery "KILL OR BE KILLED" guitarists Nelson Rodriguez and Neil Pacheco, vocalist Juan Carlos Arevalo, bassist James Sloan drummer Igor Icaza pummel with a renewed sense of urgency and quality. Fast, furious and scrupulously timed compositions, the tune is a palpable reminder that old death and black metal school Ente remains a force to be reckoned.
ENTE´S NEW CATACOMBS... The next chapter in Ente´s history its about to take place as they hit the roads to give a brilliant piece of work full of hate, agression and speed to the fans in south america and all arround the world. Prepare to see another KILLING studio work performed by the one Ente´s style this 2007.
