The night of May 23rd, Claire Robinson let out a yell and out came her second born, beautiful, black and screaming. Those high pitched screams turned into a beautiful voice belonging to me, Leanne Esthermay Robinson. I was born in London, homerton hospital, but my family originate from Jamaica. Hold tight all my jamos...and my other small island people. lol Couple years went by, and as i grew so did my voice and passion for music. Brought up in the church, i couldn't really escape singing, from being in the childrens choir to the adult choir. I went through the normal things of being a kid, career wise...wanted to be a ballerina, a fire fighter, a police woman...and all the other stupid stuff. Then i started to wise up, and think logical...teacher, lawyer. Through these stages the music was still there floating around. It wasn't until i was 13, when i stepped foot into a studio(Thanks Denisexx) in luton and done a recording, hearing myself brought me to tears, and ive been crying ever since. Not literally, but crying in the sense where that is my drive and goal, to sing. Singing, music is my life, and i'm not talking about some of the rubbish that you hear nowadays and people try call it music...RUBBISH...but real music that people can relate to, learn from, and understand what i'm feeling and see things through my eyes, just through hearing.
