I began singing as an infant, humming myself to sleep in my crib, annoying my aunt who eventually became the person to push my singing into what I have become today. (Thanks to Keely who locked the car door until I sang every day before I was allowed to get in the car to go to school from age 2 or 3 and up) I have always loved to perform because I want to give my audience what they've been missing! I started my real education in music when I played the alto saxophone in elementary school and continued through high school becoming the 1st chair tenor saxophonist of my high school's jazz band. (I also doubled as the vocalist for the band) Because I was always a band geek hahaha, kidding, the only choirs I ever participated in were in church which is truly my roots, singing Gospel music. I love Gospel music above all types. I see Gospel as the genre with the best voices/vocalists in the business. My musical background consists of all types from Gospel, Soul, Jazz, R&B, Blues, Hip-hop, Raggaeton, Salsa and the list goes on. I love being versatile and eccentric, having influences from all over including Ohio, Memphis, Pennsylvania, Chicago, Puerto Rico, New York, etc. In my many years of adoring music, I've studied and immitated the best including Whitney Houston, Chaka Khan, Mariah Carey, Kim Burrell, Yolanda Adams, Aretha Franklin and more.
I've performed with Anthony Hamilton at the Fox Theatre in Detroit and at the Apollo for P. Diddy. I was a regular performer for Penn State sporting events and fundraisers. I've reached audiences in various talent shows in the U.S., the Miss Teen Ohio Pageant, Miss Black Penn State Pageant, and Miss Latina Penn State Pageant. Now, as I record my upcoming single and album you can find me at Craig Derry's vocal class enjoying the voices of my many talented and blessed friends of NYC. I'm always singing God’s praises in various churches and I'm a featured vocalist and background vocalist for many upcoming artists in NYC.
