About Me

I completed my Bachelors of Music with a concentration in Studio Music and Jazz Performance at the University of Tennessee in 2006 after attending Roane State Community College and Roane County H.S. While a student at UT, I received various notable scholarships two of which were the Bill Harms Drum set Scholarship and The Barry MacDonald Jazz Scholarship (of which I was the only drummer to have received the honor to date). Work History I have Show Band experience playing drum set aboard the HAL Volendam and the Celebrity Infinity. My duties at sea allowed me to perform with many notable figures in the entertainment world namely Elliot Finkle, Doug Cameron, Gary Arbuthnot, Jason Chase, Joey Van, Paul Pappas, Gail Nelson-Holgate, Michel Bell, Daniel Bouchet, Steve Washington, Antonio Salci, John Smitherman, Ralph Heid, Dima Belinski, Karen Saunders, Paul Brogan, Jonathan Stamp, Nick McCullock, Chris Pendleton, Dave Levesque, Paul Tanner, Chris Michaels, Gail Doyle, Larry Linkin, Jim Curry, Clint Holmes, Robin Fellows, and Kenny Watson. Whilst attending the University in Knoxville I performed frequently in various ensembles some of which won international honors in Jazz performance, namely the Tennessee Trombonery in 2002 where we were invited to perform in Sweden, Denmark, and Finland. I recorded music for BBC Classical as well as HGTV with the UT. Studio Orchestra. And I have performed with the internationally acclaimed Knoxville Jazz Orchestra. In addition to these opportunities I have played and/or sang and acted in many musicals in area theaters, notably Ain’t Misbehavin’, Lady Be Good, Smoky Joes Café, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Godspell, Cottonpatch Gospel, Pumpboys and Dinettes, Patsy, Five Guys Named Moe, Starqueen, Little Shop of Horrors, and many others. I play frequently in many regional clubs and recording studios in many different styles. In addition, I have performed with many internationally known Jazz musicians such as Donald Brown, Zim Ngqawana, Jerry Coker, and Rusty Holloway. Also, I have played blues concerts and club dates with notable artists such as Charlie Morris, Chico Crawford, and Harold Hardy
