having trained as a classical musician (French Horn) I tend to prefer that category but like rock, flamenco, folk, jazz (esp) voice and BIG Band such as basie and others (Billy May, Stan Kenton... the list is endles...) In the late 1970s I joined an ernest group of BBC musicians to record some of the BB classics such as (Latin satin / Tony Hatch -- Painted rhythm / Stan Kenton -- Above the shadow of a cloud / Christine Eames -- Bill Maynard theme /C.Eames -- Tracy's trip / Tony Russell -- Eleventh commandment / Chuck Mangione -- Sports night / Tony Hatch -- Fanfare / R. Bissill -- Horn ucopia / C. Eames -- Splanky / Neil Hefti -- In a sentimental mood / Duke Ellington -- Cop this / Trevor Vincent -- Cross talk / R. Eames -- One bass hip / R. Eames) with the Radio Leicester BIg Band as well as teaching French Horn and arranging for wind ensembles...
I loved Blue Highways, and think Ken Loach is cool as well as Spike Lee/Lea (?) I'm a terrible speller for an author...
