Sounds Like: The sound of one spoon clanging, the sound of a tin-can telephone, the sound of a Jug being chugged......We dare not cage the immutable, unanswerable riddle of the Muse…we are merely her mouthpiece. Whether it’s the twang of a banjo or the electric drone of an oven rack, whether it’s the thwack of the whiskey-box or a the smack of a spatula across a Railroad Sign…..it’s all Art. We are an abstract collective of performers spanning the gaps between past and future. In the tradition of Louis Armstrong, we are the “Real Ambassadors.†We are the true voice of American Culture. Not the culture that you hear about on your flat screen TV, but that culture that lies under railroad bridges eating mulligan stew, that culture that has been beat-down, forgotten about, that grows under your fingernails like…like…….No! Not Bacteria! We represent something far more fascinating and surreal! We are the roots, we are the water…We are the answer to that road bound horizon’s calling. We are moving backwards to the future! We are reaching for that place where art is pure, unadulterated, eviscerated from the confines of the Dollar….although, if you don’t pay us, we’ll be forced to sleep on your floor!We harken back to a time when things weren’t what they used to seem like they wouldn’t become! We are moving forward to that place that is just beyond the stretch of everything we used to want to not be, until we became the very antithesis of becoming it in the first place! We are perfecting the art of being the very thing we never thought we could not be because we knew all along that we were becoming it while simultaneously moving away from all the things we wanted to avoid being dissuaded from! That is to say that we were about to become the very thing we couldn’t have anticipated were it not for our innate knowing of the way things were before they turned into something beyond the grasp of our knowing what they couldn’t be! Or was it that we always knew the way to not become that which was beyond the scope of our knowing what it was about to be……In either case!…….We are choosing a new life…….We are proposing a new relationship with the world in which we celebrate the Fine Art of moving beyond the places that keep us from achieving that which we are so close to perfecting but can’t quite keep ourselves from choosing to not pursue……we are projecting a new life of lust for love……a new ethos of Forgetogetherness……….a life of………of…………….Rambling!
