...Road Music for the Mind...

About Me

Let's start by saying that this artist absolutely deserves your attention... He is one of a kind and one of the most talented musician's of our time... his lyrics and melodies mesh together seamlessly... breaking through the mindless noise that is today's music scene... ************************************************************ ************************************************************ ***************** David T. Carter's music owes it's complex simplicity to the finely crafted country/pop tunes of the fifties and sixties. There is a significant level of sophistication mined from jazz artistry of the same eras. The passionate urgency found in most gypsy and klezmer music has followed a convoluted pathway into David's reportoire and become an important texture in the fabric of the sound. His "classic" music is infused with everything from Oriental sounds to Latin beats and all of these elements, combined, are the reason David T. Carter succeeds at reaching audiences from two to eighty-two, in venues that are generally genre/niche oriented. The music is moody, honest, romantic, quirky, fun and carries a compassionate message about the human condition."There are any number of organizations in our world that, either by design or by accident, tend to exclude or encourage exclusivity". "I believe the reason this music crosses age, gender, political and lifestyle boundaries is that it's all about inclusion!". "In my humble opinion, it doesn't matter what '..ism's' you subscribe to, you're still part of a village".Thank you for visiting my page!"Call me old fashioned but songwriting is a profound language and an age old trade. People will remember the 60's from a Bob Dylan song rather than a political resolution. People will relate to true sorrow and lonesomeness from a Hank Williams song. People will relate to love and joy through Stevie Wonder, etc."******************************************************* *********************************** "My moods reflect what it is to be human which is everything from happiness to sadness and all things in between, I do believe however that there is a thread of humour in most everything we do as humans, that's why Shakespeare has lasted as long as he has." ************************************************************ ****************************** Feel free to contact me from time to time if this music or my performance you have seen has made you do so, thanks for stopping by and I always look forward to seeing people at my shows, live, the only true place to experience the ''language of song''.With much respect, David T. CarterDavid T. Carter is published by Flightsafe Music and distributed through City Hall Records.
