I've been producing, engineering and mixing for over 30 years, initially with new wave and punk bands such as Magazine, Public Image Ltd, Penetration, The Skids and The Ruts. I had further success collaborating with The Waterboys, Furniture, The Wonder Stuff, Frank Zappa, Ian Gillan, John Lee Hooker, Lloyd Cole and Paul Brady.
I have a 25 year working relationship with Van Morrison which persists to this day, and I spent most of 2004, 2005 & 2006 mixing Van's extensive archive material, as well as live performances for the first ever Van Morrison DVD release; "Live at the Montreux Jazz Festival".
My work has also featured many left-field and ground-breaking artists including Tangerine Dream, Xmal Deutschland, Manuel Göttsching (Ashra) and Southern Death Cult.
The music industry is changing rapidly and there are a whole range of talented artists who are "doing it for themselves", due to decreasing access to record company funding. I have built my own studio in order to work on interesting production and mixing projects which I would not have been able to do previously due to the high cost of renting commercial studios.
