Music:
When I am not taking photos, you can find me playing upright bass and singing - bluegrass, old time, country and swing.
We are fortunate in Victoria to have the Victoria Bluegrass Association where musicians at all levels can go and join in jams. The VBA is well orgainzed and very welcoming. There are slow pitch jams for beginngers and break out jams for those who are more confident. Without them, I'd still be figuring out the chords!
I also sing gospel in a choir.
I love opera. I have danced flamenco.
I love our local bands here in Victoria: Outlaw Social, The Cloverpoint Drifters, the gang at the old time jam, the marvelous Carolyn Mark, Clay George, Erynn Marshall, Jeremy Walsh, Devon McCagerty, and the Stomp Club, the adorable Gruff, "the bills" before they went away.
