About Guidelines ApplicationContact New! Success Stories Launched in fall of 2000, the Institute for Humanist Studies Grant Fund provides grants averaging $130,000 a year to humanist projects in the U.S. and around the world. The IHS Grant Fund has awarded more than $800,000 since its founding.

Introducing the IHS Grant Fund, Larry Jones, president of the Institute for Humanist Studies, said, "The principle embodied in the Truman quote inspired us at IHS to create a fund that would amplify our goals by supporting the best work of other humanist organizations and individuals that is consistent with our mission.
