It all started late in 2000 when Rob Bianchetti and Justin Astbury decided to put their years of experience together and form “SystemBot†(production outfit & live act). Today SystemBot is one of the most respected live and production acts to come out of the Adelaide dance scene. Cementing that in 2007 when they picked up the ‘Most Popular Producer’ Award at the SA Dance music Awards. The guys were also involved in the ‘Most Popular local Release†award, for their part in the track ‘Broken N Twisted’ (which they were OVER THE MOON about!). 2007 also brought a few other awards for SystemBot, picking up a couple Finalist at the Adelaide Art Directors Awards for their work on ‘Palmers Body Butter- Skin Is Fashion†TVC & “Mitsubishi Motors- Scratch†TVC. And in 2006 the boys were named as one of the winners of the BK ‘Systematic’ remix comp and their remix released on ‘Riot London’. “What an honour to have the best hard dance producer in the world pick our track as one of the winnersâ€-Justin. “His track ‘Systematic’ went on to win “Track Of The Year†@ the Hard Dance Awards in London, not bad to be on that package!â€-Rob.
But, the highlight of the last couple of years tho would have to be playing @ the Adelaide ‘2007 Big Day Out’! “It was mad, 15mins into the set and we had 2500 people going nuts!â€-Rob. “It was hot, packed and a lot of fun!â€-Justin
2007 also saw a lot of remix work for the boys for acts like, 33 ‘All I Want’ & Emaar ‘Stay’. Their remix of ‘Stay’ can also be found on the Gods Kitchen ‘Summer Rush’ CD out now thru Central Station, nice way to finish off the year!
