*****************************Award winning artist Emma Hack continues to be at the forefront of an art form growing in worldwide popularity.Through dedication and a passion for her craft Emma’s 18-year career has evolved from beginnings as a children’s face painter and qualified hairdresser and make-up artist, to a body artist of world acclaim.Creative projects along with advertising campaigns, corporate events and fashion parades have enabled her to develop her own style which is now instantly recognisable and highly sought after internationally.Jobs interstate and abroad include Dubai, Holland, Belgium, Hong Kong and Canada, Sydney and Melbourne with clients such as Toyota, Tiffany & Co, Paspaley, Sydney Fashion Week, MAC, Sony Playstation, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Optus, Cirque du Soliel and Adelaide Festival of Arts.2000 saw the release of her greatly anticipated calendar body.art.00, followed by the 2001 Paralympic calendar. Emma’s 2002, celebrity chefs un-peeled calendar featured Australia’s favorite chef personalities body painted in images reflecting their recipes.March 2001, Emma won the coveted 1st prize at the CIDESCO World Congress Professional World Body Painting Championship in Hong Kong.Emma has exhibited 6 collections throughout Australia. Body.art.00 collection was her debut exhibition featuring a range of fashion-based designs. Emma’s ‘Petal’ Collection utilised the contours of the body to create flowers with minimal body visualised, creating an illusion to the eye. Her Yoga Collection features images created based on yoga poses and symbolism. In 2004, Emma was the arts feature of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in which she painted the performers as their cabaret persona. Emma’s portraits of celebrity chef personalities Ian Parmenter, Geoff Jansz and Jason Roberts feature at the National Portrait Gallery, Canberra. Emma’s body.art.05 has been the best selling yet, featuring progressive body art images stretching the imagination.Emma’s upcoming and long awaited ‘inspired by Yoga’ calendar, published by East St Publishing is to be released this August/September with launches in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne, featuring an exhibition of the images, creating much media attention. Conceptualised and styled by Amelia Hill and Photographed by award winning photographer Jacqui Way, the images reflect yoga poses and symbology in a colourful, feminine style. Emma’s website will also feature the calendar and a list of retailers stocking the calendar.
