We like the pizza place that named themselves after us. We also like their pie very much. We had the name first, but it's the old slang for our stomping grounds, so we aren't gonna sue. They are nice people, they employ cool folks, they recycle, they use local, fresh ingredients, and they briefly employed one of our band members. We would like t-shirts, 10 pies, and a keg every Friday for our softball team. Peace-za.

Foss sez:
For a year or two now we have been conducting a little experiment in Ballard, a small Scandinavian fishing village near Seattle.
It's called Snoose Junction.
Which is the old nickname for Ballard.
Legend has it that back in the day, Old Ballard was awash in finely ground tobacco product that could be chewed or snorted. Men folk, fishermen, loggers, shingle millworkers, and a few sturdy women took small pleasure in the quick nicotine high that was deliverable by said substance, which gave those who partook a momentary deliverance from the hard yoke of life that was their daily bread.
We honor those hardy pioneers, and the "snoose" they took with abandon, in naming our musical troupe in their glory.
Snoose Junction is alternative, experimental, and improvisational --slewing between free rock and free jazz.
Over two dozen excellent musicians make up the band, and most nights will see different combinations put together with interesting results. Great guests often come to join us and spice things up - Opera Singers, Bag Pipes, Jazz Vocalists, Congas....
Snoose Junction played at Mr. Spot's Chai House for over a year of Mondays on the illustrious "Mugshot Mondays". Pints of fine ales were only $2, the band drank for free, and it was good, until the beer deal ended.
Before that, the core members played several months of Thursdays with the Columbia City All-Stars at the Columbia City Theater. Many Snoose members got their first taste of our stoner jazz, punk space rock improvisations in that venue.
Last May, 2007, Snoose Junction broke loose of the Chai House and is now floating around playing guerrilla shows in the streets of Seattle, what we really live for!
Give us a little power to plug into and you will have mayhem.
Snoose Junction can also be found at house parties, metal foundries, on the back deck of commercial fishing vessels, lofts, warehouses, festivals and out in the Woods.
Snoose Junction is looking for a venue to land in to play a regular night residency again, and negotiations are being made, but nobody is in a terrible hurry right now.
We are all in several bands and we are either attending to those projects, recording, gigging, or figuring out where to sneak a show next.Look for all the bands that Snoose Junction members spawned or got spawned on playing around Seattle, Snoose Junction is the mothership, the incubator, where we return once and awhile.

Sounds Like: it varies from week to week, depending on who's down for the first set and who comes out to play later on...

but usually it sounds something like the breaking of massive iron fetters through sheer force of cosmic will and close, close communication with the individual composite molecules...
