Soundaloud.com EP Preview: Consider Retribution
You dont need a great deal of tolerance or over exuberance to enjoy an Existend gig. Its hardly heavy metal in its simplest forms but its certainly friendly enough for even the most chilled indie kid to follow Expect the usual breathtaking solos from the crazily mutated talent of Sheffields best guitaring duo and the usual power punching riffs and beats that sound engineers have learnt to love.
Soundaloud.com Review of Telegraph Preview Gig
" Although younger than most local metal bands, they show great professionalism. Theyre obviously very confident about their ability to play and with good reason: the two guitarists must be in the top five best in Sheffield, and the drummer leads with real ability. Their solos certainly live up to the flyer - lightening fast and played with rapture. The singer shows real passion in his singing, especially in Man on Fire; hes got the makings of a great front manthe bass player; he really knows how to rock the final songshows they can all rock out. This is certainly a band to watch.
Sheffield Telegraph Preview
Expect full-bodied riffs and lightening fast solos from Existend, a band fuelled by power and passion who are about to release their second EP.

The dark stage perfectly matched their moods as they slipped in and out of various stages of distorted spasms Very moody and top notch riffs. They certainly will be topping the metal genre in Sheffield any time soon.

Existend reminded me of the West Coast Bay Area Sound (ala San Francisco). They put out a tremendous force of sound and technical skill, the guitar work especially being clean tight and professional. Their set thumping along at a fare old pacemanaging to cover their range of ability well and letting us in on their little secret. It was a tremendous set for the opener of a three band lineup.

Technically superb, they are like gladiators from the Roman times and their musical instrument is their weapon of choice. The Emperor's champion would surely be Stef on lead guitar who would kill you in a second with his harmonics or finger tappingI prefer vocalist Dave's voicewhen he sings high his voice takes on character, his words begin to be accentuated and the vocal becomes unique to Existend. On a personal level I enjoyed Existenddefinite potential from this bandOne of my ones to watch for 2005 if they push themselves.

It wont be long before Existend have people throwing rose petals at their feet. They have been hyped up by parts of the local music press and rightly so. Existend are tremendously good at what they do and have an extreme talent in young lead-guitarist Stef. A very heavy sound but still able to be appreciated by a mainstream audience.
Sheffield Star
Had a few tongues wagging since plugging in for their first ever gig. Fantastic vocals and an explosive lead guitarist.
