The Headliners formed in February 2006 and are based in Sheffield. These Tropical Indie lads are building up a large following as they proceed to gig throughout the UK; playing the prestigious 'Glastonbury' and 'T4 On The Beach' in 2007, along with support slots with, 'The Bravery', 'The Twang', 'The Ordinary Boys', 'The Maccabees', 'Mark Ronson', 'The Holloways', 'The Pigeon Detectives', 'Little Man Tate', 'The Hoosiers', 'The Wombats', 'The Subways', 'Amy Mcdonald' and many more. With all this success in little over a year it’s easy to see why these young lads, are tipped to be big. Recently the band has been to the forefront of the press, winning the 2007 Channel4 Unsigned Competion and also being selected as one of the final few bands of the Channel4's Mobile Act Unsigned 2007, chose from 1000’s of band. With continuous mentions in the press, mainstream TV performances and first rate reviews the future is looking bright. Drawing individual influences together, every track caters to any taste with an entirely unique sound to any bands in the general area.

'One to watch out for in 2008'(Play Magazine)
'One of the best new bands in South Yorkshire, nar in Britain!'

'Only a matter of time before these guys hit it big'
(Radio 1)
'Given the current obsession with 'new music', we fully expect to see The Headliners in the Top Ten before the end of the year and we reckon 'Bottle After Bottle' could be the one to do it for them - a deceptively upbeat number about the dangers of alcohol'
(Channel 4)
'These guys are brilliant and very tight'
(BBC Radio Sheffield)
'The Headliners are a smooth sounding indie band with five piece band from Barnsley. With a rhythm to dance to and tasteful lyrics they bring a new take on indie. They tout a sound a bit like Maximo Park but definitely adding more class and skill to their tunes. I guess if Top of the Pops where still going I would tell you to look out for them on there.'

'Next up are The Headliners whose infectiously spiky sound conquers all in its path. Described as looking like Timmy Mallett, Headliners’ frontman, Sam, not only shares the same manic dress sense but also the same manic energy as the mighty Mallett. Taking their cue from the likes of Bloc Party and Maximo Park, The Headliners are as dazzling as their frontman’s new rave-type clobber and more than deserve to live up to their ambitious moniker. Utterly brilliant indeed.'

'The Headliners played some gutsy music. Apparently creating some interest back home and around the area, this band could well be the next generation bothering the scenesters'
(Chris Matthews - SANDMAN magazine)
'You see them holding court if far bigger venues as a five pice. Held nothing back as there performance belied thier relative inexperience. They've already supported the like of The Holloways and are definitely one to watch!'
(Simon clark - SANDMAN magazine)
'They are very humble (a good quality) have a great loyal fanbase – which they respect and have some cracking tunes which they belt out confidently (the new stuff is especially good) It is a sound which is their own, very boppy, Supergrassy in places but with Ska elements too, and what’s more they enjoy playing it – anyone can see that ! And that my friends is worth watching'
(Half_Cut Promotions)
'Soundbites has received two spanking reviews about this band, so I suppose it is time to see what all the fuss is about. After ten minutes I realise why this band is popular amongst Soundbites writers. The music is sharp and almost like a breath of fresh air. The performance is concise and the songs very appealing to everyone. The lead guitar is orgasmic and the bass racy, keeping you hooked for more and more. The Headliners arent the sort of band who hold back during their performance, they deliver whatever they feel. Lurved em!'
