SECOND GLANCE by Judy Picoult
It's a really good read so far.
I read a lot of books so I know when it's a good one.
I've read tons of sci-fi before I got bored with most of it, because the best books are written by obscure and hard-to-find authors. If you can recommend me some good sci-fi books I will be grateful!
Here's some of my favorites:
NEAL STEPHENSON - Anything by him,
but especially SNOW CRASH, CRYPTONOMICON,
THE DIAMOND AGE.
A FIRE UPON THE DEEP and A DEEPNESS IN THE SKY
by Vernon Vinge - probably the most amazing science fiction
I've read. Highly recommended!
DESCENT by Jeff Long
This is the scariest book I've read. One of two books I re-read and still enjoyed it. It's pointless to describe it, you just have to experience it. This is the only book that you might have trouble sleeping at night, it is that creepy.
THE RED TENT by Anita Diamant
