Rio Grande- Just Like That...Wow. What to say about the mighty Rio Grande...
Well the first time i saw them was at a small run down club some were in Stockholm. This really crappy punk band opened up the night and Rio Grande was abuot to go on. Haven't seen them before i had no ide' what to expect. Then this guy that looked like he just got flown in from a Lynyrd Skynyrd video shoot entered the stage. The rest of the band followed and procededto kick the livin' shit out of the first song. It was like some kind of boogie-punk with so much energy i was absurd. The songs were really strong through out the whole set and the singer had a voice that really knocked you out straight away. The place whent absolutly crazy and i think the bar emptyed in an hour!Since then i've seen them on alot of occations and also had the plesure to play with them a few times. They always tear their very soul out, night after night and some how it just keeps on gettin' better.
I truely belive that Rio Grande is one of swedens best live acts as we speak. With killers like "My Disease" and "Partners In Crime" they just tear it up. "Down At The Beach" and "Find A Home" on the other hand are songs that moves you in that 'ol time feelin' kinda' way.
Combinding Patrik and Johans heavy riffs and brilliant melodies with Dick and Peddas groovy rhythm, topping it all of with Kristinas amazing vocals you got all you need if you love good kick-ass-punk-booggie-rock'n'roll. And i know you do, othervise "it's a shame your so lame"!!!Erik...
