Words should melt your mind, scream in your heart, or caress your soul.

About Me

Music is my heartbeat. I Started playing classical at the age of 8 (orchestra-flute). I then learned to play keyboard instruments (starting in a church, big pipe organ, eek!). Picked up a guitar at the age of 18. My fist guitar was a beautiful "Spanish" classical (I still have it), and later went on to play electric guitar. I've played various instruments, but guitar is my favorite. I favor raw blues, rock, and classical, but my tastes are pretty diverse.
I am a writer. It is my first love. I've been writing since the age of 12, and it's saved my sanity or whatever is left of it. It is my preferred means of communication. I enjoy the rhythms of verse and sound.
I'm quiet (not shy), don't like crowds, don't like many people either. Those that I do like know that I'm there for life. It's my own character flaw I suppose. I'm a bit moody, and I'm honest to a fault. I love what people are capable of being, and not very thrilled with what they settle for being.
I've been riding horses since the age of 3. There's something wild and real about horses. You do not command their respect. You earn it.
I've traveled through Europe and South America, and I hope to return, for longer spaces of time, soon.
My heritage: I am a Montague(Montagu, Montacute), and a descendent of the Wallace clan. I am also a descendent of the Neff (Naef, Naf, Naff) family of Switzerland. I'm Swedish, English, Scottish, Welsh, Irish, French, Swiss, Lithuanian, Bohemian, and Cherokee.

My Interests

Riding horses, quads, motorcycles. I like to read, write poetry, play electric - acoustic - and classical guitar. I love to swim. I love to immerse myself in water of all forms. I love to be still, meditate, yoga, and quiet spaces. I like to talk with intelligent and creative people. My boredom level is high.

I'd like to meet:

I'm really not sure until I meet them. I'm equally at ease with princes and paupers. I've met famous people that haven't a clue about reality, and homeless people with the wisdom of sages (and vice versa).

I have no judgements about you, nor do I accept them from you. I see nobody as being greater than me nor below me

I'm sure that there are many people that I'd love to meet.

Music:

I love rock, blues, and classical music.
Favorite bands since teens (and after): Aerosmith, Bad Company (and Free), CSN&Y, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, HENDRIX, Uriah Heep, Black Sabbath, Steppenwolf, Cream, Dylan, Rush, Hendrix, Robin Trower, Steve Miller band, Old Stones music, Doors, Van Morrison, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Johnny Lang, Robert Johnson, Velvet Underground, Iron Butterfly, Traffic, UFO, ELP, Dylan, Stevie Ray, Randy Rhoads, Eliot Smith, Bowie, Laura Nyro, Clapton, Bob Marley, Blackfoot, Vai.... The list could go on for awhile. There have been so many musical influences in my life that I couldn't possibly list them all.

I am NOT genre specific.

If it sounds good, to me, I listen. If it doesn't move me, I "blow it off".
The late great Paul Kossoff Courtesy of my friend Hardy Lochow (thank you:)

Movies:

It's been a long time since I've seen a great movie. I usually fall asleep in the middle. I prefer European films at this point.
Yes! I'd rather read the book.

Television:

Yes, I have one. Don't ask me what's happening. I can look right at the screen, and not absorb a thing. PBS usually has a few great concerts.

Books:

Classic literature, poetry, novels, biographies, historical fiction. Heck, I'll read anything.

Favorite authors: John Steinbeck and Leon tolstoi (Leo Tolstoy)

Favorite poet: Dylan Thomas

Heroes:

My mother now deceased. 12/24/34 - 07/03/00. I don't have any real heroes. We are all heroic in our own way. There are many people that have inspired me, but that's quite different. Be more specific.
